I'm in Hong Kong!

Hey everyone! It's been a while since I posted but I was in a hurry and didn't get to do one last post before I leave. I am currently in Hong Kong on an unexpected vacation. :3 Sadly, my boyfriend's house does not have wifi and I didn't bring my laptop either so I won't be posting for a while. This is my first time in Hong Kong and I have to say that I love it here, it's all really new to me since I haven't been in any other country besides Vietnam. It's shopping heaven here; I'm crazy in love! It's only been a week and half and I spent so much already.. :( my poor wallet. I will be on August 23 and will be posting about my haul and pictures of my trip. ^-^

June Favorites

It's the 1st of July meaning June is over and so here are my June favorites. :)

Lush Dark Angels Facial Cleanser

DEEP CLEANSING CHARCOAL SCRUB

Dark Angels is the nemesis of all blemishes, breakouts and blocked pores. Our soft black scrub was conceived when we combined the exfoliating power of Angels on Bare Skin and the sebum balancing abilities of Coal Face. The result? A velvety cleanser, sprinkled with black sugar and powdered charcoal to gently exfoliate and cleanse away excess oils. We add antimicrobial rhassoul mud and vitamin-rich cold pressed organic avocado oil to soften, moisturize and nourish skin, as well as sandalwood and rosewood oils to soothe.

FEATURES

  • Ideal for young faces: Dark Angels is beneficial for those experiencing excess oil and blemishes.
  • Scrub me tender: Gently exfoliates away dead skin for a smoother, brighter looking face.
  • All part of the fun: We recommend using this one in the shower, as it can get quite messy!

How to use

Dampen your face with warm water. Place a pea-sized chunk in the palm of your hand and add water to create a paste. Apply to your face using small, circular motions. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry. For rest results follow with the LUSH toner and moisturizer that best suit your skin type. Your cleanser will remain fresh for up to three months. Always check the expiration date on your product.

I have never tried Lush products before but I always heard good things about them so I decided to give it a try. The salesperson there recommended this face cleanser since I wanted something that would brighten up my face a bit. I'm really glad that I gave this a try because it's amazing! After using it my face felt supple and it did make my complexion brighter. The downside is that it can get messy while using it.

Fresh Soy Face Cleanser

Soy Face Cleanser for all skin types is an extra-gentle, multitasking gel formula that instantly whisks away everyday impurities and makeup—even mascara—without stripping the skin of essential moisture. The soap-free, fragrance free formula is also perfect for sensitive skin, too.
Key ingredients
-Amino acid-rich soy proteins promote moisture retention, elasticity, and firmness
-Rosewater is notable for its calming, balancing, and toning properties
-Calming cucumber extract aids in soothing the skin
-Borage seed oil helps to nourish
How to use Wet skin, and massage over face and eyes, then rinse. Follow with Soy Face Cream.

I got a sample of this cleanser from Sephora some time ago and after using it I just had to keep on using it. It has this milky kind of texture and it's really gentle on your skin. After using this product, it leaves my skin ultra moisturizing and supple.

Benefit 'That Gal' Brightening Face Primer

What it is:
A silky pink primer that makes skin appear smoother and brighter.

What it does:
Prime your skin to pretty—go from dull to darling with "That Gal"! Wear alone for clear complexion radiance or apply before makeup for a smooth, effortless application. Plus you can use it to re-brighten throughout the day.

I have always used the Smashbox photofinish primer until I met this pretty lady here. lol. I also received this as a sample and from then on I really liked it, more than the Smashbox one. I really like that this primer brightens up your face first and makes my foundation lasts longer.

Fairydrops Scandal Queen Mascara

What it is:
A volumizing, water- and sweat-resistant mascara with a brush so unique it is patented in Japan.

What it does:
This do-it-all mascara is blended with fiber to give you lush, doll-like lashes. The unique brush catches even the tiniest lashes, defines, lengthens, and provides all-day curl.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Sulfates
- Synthetic Fragrances
- Synthetic Dyes
- Phthalates
- GMOs
- Triclosan

I have heard sooooo many good things about this mascara from my friends and online so I decided to give this mascara a go. My eyelashes, like most Asians, are very thin and short so it's hard not use fake eyelashes when I wear makeup. This mascara made my eyelashes look wayyyyy longer and also gave it the volume that I needed too. After giving this mascara a try, I am able to wear makeup without having to always wear fake lashes.

Away I Go

Sorry for the lack of blogging, I was pretty busy with finals and then on a hunt for a summer job. I didn't realize that I have not blogged for so long.. boy the weeks sure pass fast! On the brighter side, I finally got my AA degree in Natural Sciences! ^-^ I'm really taking my time to find out what I really want to do in life so it took my 3 years at a community college. I'm really glad I chose the path of going to a community college because it really saved my parents and I a lot of money. For someone who has yet to find out what they want to do life I'm not wasting money at a more prestigious college to find out. Anywho.. ^-^; I have been really lazy lately with taking photos of my outfits and makeup and all. My goal this summer was to go all out where ever I go but it hasn't worked out for me since I'm home mostly and it means I'm being a couch potato. :(

My cousins came to stay with my family for about a week now because their house is getting fumigated so it means company for the next couple of weeks. :) We did have our adventures and my cousin managed to take some pretty awesome photos. I felt like getting some fresh air so I took my cousins to Santa Monica beach and managed to stop by the promenade to window shop.

...and then korean bbq after at Castle!

The next day my boyfriend was bored so he wanted to take us out and we decided to visit LACMA since I have never been there before.

After, my boyfriend took us to this really nice caffe called Urth Caffe near Beverly Hills. He said that Miley Cyrus and other famous stars go there but unfortunately we didn't get lucky. :( This place is known for their lattes which I have to admit is pretty good.

I got Japanese tea latte and they drew a leaf. ^-^

And lastly tiramisu for dessert.

I will be sure to blog more since I have a lot of time this summer and I am going to have a makeup sale too. I want to clear out all my makeup that I don't use and start doing some makeup tutorials.

Farewell..!

Fun night out

A couple days ago my cousin came from OC so my sister and I wanted to take her out to eat. She is a HUGE kpop fan so guess where we took her to eat? ^-^ KBBQ!!

my sister, cousin, and me! :3

Big question!!! Does my sister and I look alike?? lol.

We got a lot of mixed answers saying we do look alike and some we do not look alike at all. so what do you guys think??

OFTD

On Saturday I took my cousin to a Jay Park meet and greet in LA. He was on tour for APAHM (Asian Pacific American Heritage Month) and his last stop was LA. my cousin is such a kpop fangirl; she kept on screaming along with other girls that were there waiting to meet him. lol. I wasn't able to take a lot of pictures because I didn't bring my camera. :( boo.. what's worst is that we weren't even allowed to take personal pictures at the event. .. but we did get to meet Jay Park!  He has such flawless chio skin ever!! I will post that picture up later because they haven't posted them up on the website yet. ^^

Here is what I wore that day ^-^
